Base Matrix:

Alumina (Al₂O₃): 92-95% purity (HV 1500-1800) – primary wear resistance.

Zirconia (ZrO₂): 5-15% addition – enhances fracture toughness via phase transformation toughening.

Reinforcements:

Silicon Carbide (SiC) Whiskers: Optional for extreme impact zones (e.g., mining chutes).

Steel Backing Plate: Hybrid designs for structural support (e.g., vulcanized rubber-ceramic composites).

Impact Resistant Ceramic Liner Advantages

 

1. High wear resistance
The wear amount of the ceramic lining in the wear resistance test P=74N, n=800rpm, t=30 minutes is only 0.0005 grams, indicating that it has good wear resistance and can effectively extend the service life of the equipment.

 

2. High fracture toughness
The fracture toughness of rubber is 3.65 MPa%, which means that the material is not easy to break or damage when subjected to external impact. It has good impact resistance and toughness and is suitable for high-intensity impact environments.

 

3. Good thermal shock resistance
The thermal shock resistance of the ceramic lining is as high as 250℃. It can withstand large temperature changes under atmospheric pressure without cracking or damage. It is suitable for use in high-temperature environments and can protect equipment from thermal expansion and contraction.

 

4. Good tensile strength
The tensile strength of rubber is 18 MPa. It can withstand large external force stretching without breaking easily. It is suitable for equipment environments subject to tensile or pulling loads.
