(1) Mechanical aspect. Aluminum oxide ceramic cutting tools are widely used for cutting difficult to machine materials such as hard materials, high-speed steel cutting, and ultra high speed cutting due to their high hardness, strong high-temperature mechanical properties, good wear resistance, good chemical stability, and resistance to bonding with metals.
(2) In terms of industry. At present, there are various types of industrial valves, and commonly used valves for alumina industry include plug valves, gate valves, globe valves, ball valves, etc.
(3) In terms of electronics and electricity. There are various types of alumina ceramic substrates, ceramic films, transparent ceramics, as well as alumina ceramic electrical insulation ceramics, electronic materials, magnetic materials, etc. Among them, alumina transparent ceramics and substrates are the most widely used.
(4) In terms of chemical engineering. Alumina ceramics also have a wide range of applications in chemical engineering, such as alumina ceramic chemical filler balls, inorganic microfiltration membranes, corrosion-resistant coatings, etc. Among them, alumina ceramic membranes and coatings are the most researched and applied.
(5) In terms of medicine. Aluminum oxide is mainly used for manufacturing artificial bones, joints, teeth, and more. Alumina ceramics have excellent biocompatibility, biological inertness, physicochemical stability, high hardness, and high wear resistance, making them ideal materials for the preparation of artificial bones and joints.
(6) In terms of architectural and sanitary ceramics, alumina ceramic products can be seen everywhere, such as alumina ceramic lining bricks, grinding media, sticks, ceramic protective tubes, and alumina refractory materials. Among them, alumina ball milling medium is the most widely used. Aluminum oxide ball milling medium has the characteristics of suitable hardness, moderate density, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and low cost. Therefore, most raw materials for building and sanitary ceramics are processed using aluminum oxide ball milling medium.
(7) Other aspects. Alumina ceramics are currently one of the most researched and widely used materials in the field of new materials. In addition to the aforementioned applications, they are also widely used in other high-tech fields such as aerospace, high-temperature industrial furnaces, composite reinforcement, and more.
