Product Introduction

 

Ceramic steel liner is a composite material that combines ceramic and steel and is widely used in industrial fields that require wear and corrosion resistance. The material is usually made by bonding a ceramic plate to the surface of a steel plate. Ceramics have extremely high hardness, which can reduce the wear of materials on equipment. Wear Resistance
The high-purity alumina ceramic used in the inner layer of the ceramic steel liner has a hardness of up to 1800-2000HV (Vickers hardness), far exceeding the 200-300HV of ordinary carbon steel. When handling highly abrasive materials, such as quartz sand (Mohs hardness 7), the wear rate of the ceramic steel lining is only 0.001-0.005mm/year, while ordinary carbon steel can reach 0.5-1mm/year.

 

Corrosion Resistance
In a 98% concentrated sulfuric acid environment, the corrosion rate of the ceramic layer is as low as 0.01mm/year, while the corrosion rate of 316L stainless steel under the same conditions is as high as 10mm/year. After ceramic steel lining was used in the hydrochloric acid delivery system of the chemical plant, the service life of the pipeline was extended from the original 1-2 years to more than 10 years, reducing the replacement frequency by 90%.

 

High Temperature Resistance
The high-purity alumina ceramic used in the ceramic steel liner has a melting point of up to 2050℃ and still maintains more than 95% of its strength at a high temperature of 1000℃. In contrast, 304 stainless steel begins to soften significantly at around 650℃. After ceramic steel lining was used in the high-temperature dust removal system of the thermal power plant, the annual downtime maintenance time of the system was reduced from the original 30 days to 5 days.

 

Impact Resistance
The fracture toughness of the ceramic steel liner can reach 6-8MPa·m^1/2, which is much higher than the 2-3MPa·m^1/2 of ordinary ceramics. Therefore, the ceramic steel lining can withstand impact energy of up to 30-40J/cm², which is 3-4 times that of ordinary ceramic pipes (5-10J/cm²). After adopting ceramic steel lining in the mine's crusher discharge system, pipe damage accidents caused by impact were reduced from an average of 9 times per year to 2 times.
