  Flame-retardant ceramic rubber composite board is a high-performance, wear-resistant, impact-resistant, and fire-safe composite material specifically designed for industrial material handling systems. It is typically composed of wear-resistant ceramics, flame-retardant rubber, and optional steel plates, bonded together using an advanced hot vulcanization process. This material perfectly combines the high hardness of ceramics with the high cushioning properties of rubber, while incorporating a special flame-retardant formula to meet the safety requirements of specific hazardous conditions, such as underground coal mines.

Composition

 

Wear-resistant ceramic (surface layer): Typically made of 92% or 95% alumina (Al₂O₃) special ceramic. It has extremely high hardness, providing excellent wear resistance and effectively resisting friction and cutting from large materials. HRA≥85, and its wear life is 5–8 times that of ordinary rubber.

 

Flame-retardant rubber (middle layer): Made of special rubber with added flame retardants and antistatic agents. It not only firmly bonds the ceramic block but, more importantly, provides excellent cushioning and impact resistance, preventing the ceramic from shattering when hit by large materials. Simultaneously, its flame-retardant properties ensure it will not burn or spread under frictional high temperatures or accidental open flames.

 

Steel plate (bottom layer, usually included in a three-in-one composite panel): Equipped with countersunk bolts or welded holes, mainly used for easy fixing of the composite panel onto equipment (such as chutes, hoppers).

 

Composite process: Hot vulcanization or cold bonding molding, the ceramic and rubber are firmly bonded and not easily delaminated.

 

Feature

 

Flame-retardant and anti-static safety performance: Complies with MT/T 962-2019, with afterflame ≤10s and smoldering ≤5s; surface resistance ≤3×10⁸Ω, and anti-static spark. This is its biggest difference from ordinary ceramic-rubber composite boards. In environments full of coal dust and flammable and explosive materials, such as coal mines and coal washing plants, ordinary rubber friction can easily ignite or generate static electricity, while flame-retardant rubber effectively eliminates this hazard, meeting mining safety standards.

 

Extremely high wear resistance and impact resistance: Ceramic provides wear resistance, while rubber absorbs impact force. This "rigid-flexible" structure allows it to withstand both severe wear and high-drop impacts from large, heavy materials.

High friction and anti-slip: The coefficient of friction of the ceramic bumps reaches 0.85 (ordinary rubber 0.4–0.6), preventing slippage in wet and muddy environments.

 

Effective noise reduction: The elasticity of the rubber layer effectively absorbs vibrations and sound waves generated by material impacts, significantly reducing noise pollution at the work site.

 

Anti-detachment design: Utilizing a high-temperature, high-pressure vulcanization process, the bonding strength between the ceramic, rubber, and steel plate is extremely strong, preventing large-scale detachment of ceramic sheets under harsh working conditions.

 

Reduces material blockage: The smooth ceramic surface has a low coefficient of friction, and the elastic rubber is not prone to material adhesion or blockage.

 

Corrosion resistance + self-cleaning: The rubber is resistant to acids, alkalis, and coal slurry; the grooves between the ceramic sheets allow for drainage and sludge removal, preventing material accumulation.
